| FACTS ABOUT VOLUNTEERING AND INSPIRE |
Kenya and Sri Lanka both offer superb Safari options. Volunteers often spend their weekends in the bush getting up close and personal with Wildlife. In Kenya, head for the Masai Mara. In Sri Lanka don't miss the leopards in Yala National Park.
"I was so lucky to stay with a wonderful host family, they made me so welcome and at home, helping me wherever possible if i needed it. I will definitely keep in contact with them"

We don't use a work camp
mentality. Our placements run from when the volunteer wants to go. Each
placement is customised for each person as far as possible. Each placement has strict numbers so that volunteers
are not a burden but are a help. Many of our placements are used by
Inspire volunteering only. Unlike some volunteer
companies, we don't just dump the volunteers at a placement and go away. We
work with our volunteers and check on them during their placement. We offer
more detailed support than any of our rivals and its something we are proud
of.
We aim to respond to all
enquires in 48 hours or less. We are aware of the need to provide volunteers
with much pre- trip support. In many cases we can send recent photos of each
placement before departure to help volunteers visualise their placement.
Emails are confidential and we don't use external mailing lists.
Inspire
Projects are genuine, real working places not set up for the volunteer!
We work with various organisations such as social services to keep in
touch with the people and needs of each location. The owners and staff
we know on a first name basis. With Inspire, you get the real deal!
Most of all. Take your
sense of humour. Inspire projects and hosts love visitors and will welcome you with open
arms. They want you to have fun and enjoy your stay. Inspire is informal and
our goal is for volunteers to have a fun and rewarding time. Our whole
organisation is based upon that.

To set up and organise volunteer breaks does cost money in a number of ways. We aim to keep our prices competitive while offering a standard of service that is good. The volunteers fee funds both the ground costs in abroad as well as Ireland office costs. Our host families and various ground staff need to make a profit from our fees to make it worthwhile for them. The funds to all the various people we use abroad is paid directly and is a good amount within the local economy. Although as a private company we cannot give financial breakdowns, here are some of the things the volunteer fee goes towards paying. Airport transfers, fuel and cars. Induction and introductions. City tour. Local fees and registrations. Breakfast / evening meals and drinks.(Host family fee). Kenya, Sri lanka staff wages, transport and overnight costs when setting up placements. Use of Future project research funding.Local internet fee, telephone and office rent including electric. Supervision fees to person who mentors volunteers. Staff food and drink for inductions and travel. Membership fees to partner bodies. International money transfer fee. Banking charges. Accountancy fees. Irish business tax. Ireland office fees. Ireland staff wages. Website hosting. Print campaigns. Marketing and advertising internet and press. International flights for Ireland staff to projects. Google search engine fees and related.
"Traveling around Kenya it wouldn't be the same if
we arrived on time without having a bumpy journey!"
