The school’s needs are many and diverse. The school lacks proper desks and classrooms amongst other things. Therefore in addition to teaching, a volunteer could take on initiatives, such as buying timber (which is very cheap) and nail them together to make better desks, paint the school, offer counseling to children who are also deprived emotionally, thus in dire need of brotherly, sisterly, fatherly or motherly love. Because foods like rice and beans are cheap in Kenya, one could initiate a feeding program for school and give the children energy to take on the next lesson in class with a wider concentration span, sharpen their knowledge and give them hope for a better future. Day to day work would be teaching individuals as well as in groups. The school would be flexible and allow you to help in anyway that you would find comfortable. Like most schools in Kenya, anything you can offer will benefit them! | |||

Though
Kikuyu town is developing rapidly, there are much extra curriculum
activities one can take upon. This is however no problem since Nairobi is
only 45 minute away. Many who have visited East African cities, have an
impression that, “Nairobi is East Africa’s hub of fun”. |
