At the radio station, one gets to have a first hand experience on how African radio stations are operated.
Once oriented, a volunteer could help with various productions that include news and topical programs. Radio Simba is ran by highly qualified staff that is highly receptive to constructive ideas.
In cases where a program is Swahili and one would like to help the producer(s) with it preparations, a volunteer can do his bit then have the work translated from English to Swahili. It will also be perfect chance to learn a key opportunity to learn the Swahili language. Swahili is widely spoken across Eastern and Central Africa, making it one of the most famous languages in Africa, it has infarct been proposed to be the continent’s official indigenous language.

This program would perfectly suit those aspiring to be aggressive future radio reporters and or presenters reporters. The media house likes aggressive and innovative journalists or journalism students with an acute nose for news, someone who can blend fast in a new environment.

All Food and accommodation will be provided for by a carefully selected host family in Nairobi.Airport transfers and bottled water is provided.

Great opportunity for someone in or aspiring to work in electronic Journalism. This placement would give a unique and different experience for the participants C.V. This placement does have restrictions on it set by the Radio Station’s management and they tend to only take people who have some media connection. The mountain’s icy peaks of Batian (5199m) and Nelion (5,189m) are accessible only to experienced mountaineers,
